I'm on display!

Well, not really ME. My PHOTOS are on display! If you "like" my photography page on Facebook you may already know a bit about what I've been up to the last couple of months. If not, let me fill you in...

My good friend Whitney sent me a note that the grocery store near where she works was looking for more local artists to feature in their "Artist of the Month" program. I immediately contacted the store for more information and gave them links to my Facebook page and Etsy site to view some of my pieces. Next thing I knew I was signed up for the month of November!

I got some new business cards printed...

graffiti garage

There's a parking garage in Tacoma where graffiti artists come to display their skills--as long as everyone "plays nice" (there are posted rules), they can paint away. I didn't even know this place existed until my guy took me there... it was pretty awesome.

Another adventure to Tacoma took us to parts of the city I hadn't visited before. The first stop was the War Memorial Park near the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. There were several different walls with the names of people from Tacoma that served, died, and many that were held prisoner during war.

I don't know what/who Dude Dialect is, but after a quick search it turns out the first part is from Harold and Maude! Love that movie.

I asked Liz to walk by this awesome glass sculpture as we were leaving the Tacoma Museum of Glass a couple of weekends ago so I could snap a few photos. She's wonderful and obliged me.

Tacoma Museum of Glass

Visiting the Tacoma Museum of Glass has been on my "to-do" list for a long time. I've driven by the Chihuly Bridge of Glass countless times and thought about how silly it was to have lived in Western Washington for all my life and have never been to the museum.
