I made it home Sunday night around 1030pm after a long week and a half-ish of wedding festivities, GIS workshops, and dog shows.
I was able to take a few photos of Jordan and Griffin's wedding shindigs... mostly of preparations and events leading up to the ceremony. I was a bit busy during the wedding (I was a bridesmaid!) and then spent the time afterward dancing, eating, and chatting with wonderful friends. Don't you worry now... once I've gone through the photos I'll be sure to share some with you here. :)
I also have some neat photos from my time in San Diego that you can look forward to... I was able to explore Balboa Park a bit before my flight (not nearly enough time for all that was there!) and took some photos of the gardens and wonderful architecture.
Then finally we came to the third leg of my crazy schedule: three dog shows in Canada. I got to my parents' house at about 730pm on Friday, straight from the airport (traffic was horrible) only to turn around and head to the ferry and Langley/Surrey, BC. We didn't get to our hotel until after 1am.
I was a bit of a zombie on Saturday, but Taylor did well despite me and got Winner's Dog (WD) for 2 points! And Sunny got Reserve Winner's Dog! (And yes, there were other dogs entered... it wasn't just our two boys!)
There were two shows on Sunday: the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada Regional Specialty (so just Tollers) and then the second day of the Sporting Dog Spectacular show.
Taylor got WD and Best of Winners at the Specialty for 5 points and Winner's Dog at the Sporting Dog Spectacular for another 2 points. (Sunny got Reserve Winner's Dog at both.)
Sunny had won WD at previous shows to get 9 points total, so now both boys are at 9 points. They only need 10 points to get their Canadian Kennel Club Championship! So close!
They both came away with pretty ribbons and Taylor got neat trophies for WD and BOW at the Specialty. I also got photos taken with the first two judges, and it was awesome because I got to look at all the photos and pick the ones that Taylor looked the best in instead of waiting and being surprised when they come in the mail.
He's such a handsome boy. I couldn't be more proud of our Tollers!
