I spent the week leading up to it doing last minute preparations, making favors, and trying to remember all of the little things that I needed to accomplish before people arrived Saturday afternoon.
I owe many MANY thanks to Katie and Taune, the other two bridesmaids for contributing finger foods and the lovely cake... to Jess and Charisse for helping me with the truffles Thursday evening... to my cousin Erica for helping me assemble the favors Friday afternoon... to my Mom for the many things she did... to Jess again and many others that helped set up and clean up the day of. It was a wonderful afternoon that wouldn't have been possible without all of them! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
There was lots of wine.
Wine tasting.

Lemonade and "spa water." {Very needed since it was around 85 degrees out. The "spa water" was just water with cucumber, mint, and limes. Refreshing and pretty!}
Wonderful, yummy food. {This is Taune's cake, and my favor boxes are in the background.}
Pretty flowers. {Hydrangeas from my mom's garden, roses from Central Market, and greens I found in the woods.}
Gifts.
Games.
Amazing friends.
And good times.
For some strange reason I didn't seem to have as much time as I had hoped to take pictures. {Ha!} Between my mom and I we got about 40 decent pictures... thankfully some of the other ladies had their cameras so I am hoping I will have enough to make a nice book for Liz using Blurb.
{Side note about Blurb: you can now use any program you want to design a book as long as you can format it to the needed size and export to PDF! I don't know if I mentioned this at all in an earlier post, but it is very exiciting for those of us with control issues. I don't have any fancy program so I'll be attempting to design a book in Word... if it's too frustrating I may return to Blurb's software and pre-fabricated layouts.}
Shower was AWESOME!:-)
ReplyDeleteoh and I forgot - you should use photoshop or paintshop pro to design your book! Word angers me when I am trying to do anything other than type something up :-) Blurb is pretty cool!
