I'm single, and that's ok.
I think that most of my friends that read this here blog are married/in relationships... but I think that everyone can appreciate Jon Acuff's "Surviving Church as a Single" post over on Stuff Christians Like.
It's too funny... and oh-so-true.
My favorite, and the one that I get quite often, is #5: Someone pays you the world's most backhanded compliment, "I just don't understand how someone as great as you isn't married yet." {or has a boyfriend... no need to rush into things}
And friends, please don't make #30 true for me! Your best friend of 15 years gets married and then suddenly acts like a magical gap has opened up between you and decides that until you get married too you can't be close again because you just don't understand each other anymore. {This applies to having children, too!}
I'm also prone to #39. You've developed highly sensitive, "They're about to throw the bouquet" radar and know exactly when to leave a wedding. {Since I shoot weddings on occasion, sometimes there aren't enough single ladies to compete to catch the bouquet... so since I'm single, they make me go in for it, too. It's even more awkward and weird when you're not even a guest.}
There are others that I can relate to as well, but these were my favorites. :)
