I picked up a bunch of props for the photo booth and made a few, too. Sunny is modeling one of my veggie headbands (veggies and fruit from a $3 set from Walmart glued to a medium-wide headband), a felt mustache I whipped up, and a great tie-dye dog scarf from one of the market vendors, Anything But White!

Dog Day at the Market!
Dog Day at the Bremerton Farmers Market last week was a lot of fun! It was gorgeous out (maybe a little too sunny for photos, but I made it work), lots of great people, lots of great dogs, and lots of goodies from the market vendors. I didn't get a chance to shop myself... I was a little busy capturing some great photos!

Bremerton Farmers Market Dog Day!
Thursday after next I'll be out at the Bremerton Farmers Market with Peninsula Dog Fanciers Club participating in the market's Dog Day! PDFC is giving demonstrations of conformation, obedience, and rally with opportunities for people to participate for practice and for fun. (Find out more information on the PDFC site here.) Some of the market vendors will have more dog-themed goods, plus there will be special "guest" vendors and booths like PDFC, the Muttley Crew 4-H group, Kitsap Humane Society, and others.
AND I'll be doing a photobooth!! I did a photobooth at the Bremerton High School 10 year reunion and got a lot of great photos... so I thought it would be a fun thing to include at the market, too. People can get their photos taken with their pups and fun props for FREE. We will be accepting donations that will be going to a worthy dog cause--just not sure which one yet!
So if you're in the area and have a well behaved dog (on leash!) or just love dogs... or just want to get some great produce, BBQ, ice cream, plants, etc... or want me to take your picture (no dog needed!)... come on out to the Bremerton Farmers Market on July 26! The market starts at 4pm and goes until 7pm at the Evergreen Park in Bremerton (near the Warren Ave bridge on the West Bremerton side).

Bremerton BrewFest!
This past weekend I attended the first Bremerton BrewFest... and it was a blast! The weather was perfection--sunny and warm, but not too hot, with a cooling breeze off the water.

If you're going to be in Kitsap County this weekend you should come out to the Peninsula Dog Fanciers' Club's All Breed Dog Show and Obedience trials at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds!

Antiques and Collectibles... and Abe Lincoln
The Antiques and Collectibles Show at Puyallup last weekend did not disappoint.
It was overwhelming. Over 400 booths is a lot to go through!
Thankfully Sara and I have enough "experience" going antiquing and thrifting that we are able to tell which booths might have something we're interested in and which ones most likely won't. It makes it a bit easier to get through them all.
I was mostly interested in boxes/crates and kitchen items.
Of course we saw a lot of crazy things mixed in with the neat and awesome things. Some booths had more crazy than awesome. I forgot my camera (I was in a hurry that morning!) so I wasn't able to get photos of any of the things that make us giggle/shudder. Liz was great at spotting the weird and has a few photos of the highlights with her take on the outing.

cute AND talented
No, I'm not describing a guy... rather the many cute and talented pups that will be at the Peninsula Dog Fanciers' Club Responsible Dog Ownership Day (RDOD) on September 4th from 10am until 4pm out at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
I know it's still a few months away but we are going full speed in the planning stages already... letters are being sent out for potential sponsorships, vendors, and booths (including the awesome Meet the Breed booths) and we are planning for the events we've had in the past as well as some new activities.
