The first day we ran errands, went to a tiny town at the base of Rainier that had an awesome cemetery (sorry I forgot my camera), and went to a very disappointing "barn sale."
The second day we explored a bit more, did a few more errands, and found this awesome, amazing, antique/thrift/treasures sale. They only open twice a year and we found them on an impulse to follow the various signs they had out along the roads.
It completely made up for the so-called "barn sale" from the day before.
We didn't have a ton of time to look around because they were getting ready to close up, which was probably not a bad thing because I could have spent hours looking through everything.
I did manage to find a sweet little nightstand that I knew had to come home with me. And it did.
A bit of rearranging in the car and $32 later, I had myself a nightstand to replace the end table I'd been using.
The nightstand and miscellaneous clutter:
Yes, that is Twilight... and a cordless drill... and a finial from my curtain rods. Random.
My new stand:
My quilt and pillow cases are from TJ Maxx and my bed skirt is a Goodwill find!
The top drawer bows out and the two bottom pulls are actually one drawer.
It's not completely solid wood, but it's heavy! And I don't think I could build this for less than $32, so I'm pleased.
The owner of the establishment said that there's another available from a different lady... so I might have a pair eventually.
The end table is still in my room... not sure what I'm going to do with it. My house isn't very big... sometimes I wish it was bigger just to hold the awesome furniture pieces I find!
