Evergreen Arboretum

When Jordan and Griffin asked if I was available to do their engagement photos the only issue was where we would meet for our session. We decided to meet somewhere in the middle: Everett.

I used my awesome Googling skillz and searched for parks in Everett...

... and I found the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens.

Perfect!

I got to the park a bit before Griffin and Jordan arrived so I wandered around to get a feel of the place and to take a few photos.

I want a macro lens. {Among others...}

During our session I fell in love with the place so I ended up staying a little after they left to take a few more photos. {I just couldn't help myself!}

There was a Japanese Garden area with a neat little bridge and lots of Japanese maples. The gardens are awesome because most of the plants have labels-- so if you see something you like, you know what it is!

I've never seen purple berries before.

It reminded me a bit of something you might find in Bellingham... lots of random sculptures/art pieces. The one above is a dome fountain thing that I couldn't find the name of. The one below is a piece called "Circle of Life."

I'm definitely keeping the arboretum on my list of photo shoot destinations for the Everett area!
