the fall spirit…

... is taking over.

And with the fall spirit also comes the fall-inspired-crafting/decorating-bug.

It is highly contagious.

I really want to make these recycled jar decoupaged "jack o'lanterns"... or maybe use other tissue paper to make them fall-themed instead of just Halloween-themed. {I don't have any empty glass jars, but there's a jar of apricot preserves in my fridge that is just waiting to be used up...}

And it's been too long {3 months!} since I've made any cake truffles/pops... and Bakerella has some super cute ideas for making Halloween pops! {I wish I had time to make some for my house warming this weekend!}

And then there's knitting... oh the things I wish I had the talent and patience to make! Especially now that the weather is getting cooler and the season for warm hats, scarves, socks, mittens, etc is right around the corner. Thankfully more people I know have little ones around that I can attempt to make things for... that way I can make something small and quick! {I am considering trying to use our Book Club time to get knitting tips when Laura is able to join us... you know, in between our deep discussions about what we've read.}

And finally, I am getting in the mood to start making Christmas/Holiday cards. I really want to make them all this year-- and actually get them mailed out! Rubber Soul is calling my name...

Anyone up for a cake-pop making party? Or card making? Or anything crafty?

  1. yes. yes. yes.That is the answer to your 3 questions :-)

    By the way, did you see the mini pumpkin pies on bakerella?!?! Those are so cute and so yummy looking! I was thinking of bringing those to your housewarming shindig - unless you would like me to bring something else? Maybe I will try the Halloween pops... don't know how much they will look like hers though. :-)

    By the way - longest comment ever.
