Back then it was more about documenting things that happened when I was always around my friends.
Now that my friends and I are "grown-ups" or something similar, I don't get to see them nearly as much as I did when we were in grade school. Taking pictures has become a reason/an excuse to see those friends I might not see much otherwise. It has become an unexpected blessing and a gift in many ways!
In April I took some maternity photos for Laura... as a thank-you she gave me some amazing teas from Harney & Sons, an awesome tea pot with 4 little cups, and a book of photo crafts! {I can't wait to try some of the photocrafts... there will be blogs about them when I get the time to try them out!} The tea is nicer tea than what I typically drink on a day-to-day basis so I was waiting until a time when I could really enjoy them to try them for the first time.

That time was Sunday.

The teas come in little silk sachets in tin boxes {if you know of my slight obsession with boxes, you know that the tins tipped the scale of awesomeness}. I smelled each one when I first got them... just the aroma of the tea is amazing!

I tried the Paris blend, and I even used the little tea pot* Laura gave me! I was slightly doubtful that the tea would taste as good as it smelled... but I was not disappointed. It was so good, even without any sweetener added.

I am so glad that I took the time to enjoy the tea and appreciate all of the different flavors in it. I would love to start each morning off that way... sitting on my little deck with a yummy cup of tea and breathing in the cool morning air... ahhhh...
If only I could get myself to get up early enough to do so! {Might as well throw in time to work out in the morning, too. That would be lovely.}

*I love the tea pot, too... but I couldn't stop spilling. When I was finished with my toast but still had tea left, I ended up transferring it to a larger mug to reduce the amount of spillage. Turns out that it is also quite lovely to drink while editing photos!
I think I've said "lovely" more times in this post that I have in all of my other posts combined. I blame the {yummy} fancy tea.
I totally owe you a sweet gift like Laura gave you!!!
